Shifa – Asian Women’s Wellbeing

Through Shifa, we aim to promote good mental health and emotional wellbeing through support, social skills, empowerment and education.

We work on empowering Asian women with mental and emotional health issues, to help them integrate into mainstream society with improved self-confidence and raised self-esteem.

We provide a safe place for women to access support and make social connections without feeling stigmatised. We also support local immigrant women suffering from domestic abuse, anxiety and depression.

Our services

We run a range of services and classes tailored to support Asian women including:

  • Drop-in Support
  • ESOL
  • Life in the UK
  • Driving Theory
  • Yoga
  • Cycling

And many other short courses throughout the year. Click here for the class timetable.

Who we can help

While we focus on Asian Women, we do not turn anyone away and can help women from other backgrounds.

We support women who are:

  • Living with mild to moderate mental health issues.
  • Struggling with social isolation.
  • From an immigrant background.
  • Dealing with family issues including domestic violence and abuse.
